Players to Watch
Franck Kessie
PRESIDENT! The star from last season has returned in recent games but needs to sign that renewal to win the affection of the fans back. In the meantime, good performances where he dominates the midfield will need to suffice if not encourage continuity. This match will need a high tempo and lots of pressure in the midfield to stop the likes of Cristante and Veretout stringing together passes and generating forward plays. Kessie will need to be in top shape for this one as Roma present a big risk in attack.
Tammy Abraham
He has 2 goals in the league and 2 assists thus far but has been incredible for Roma forcing mistakes from defenders and holding up the play for the advancing attacking midfielders. He adds pace and will know Fikayo Tomori well from their time together at Chelsea. The Englishman has a knack for causing problems in the box hence Milan’s defenders will need to be wary not to concede a penalty especially given Maresca is the referee.
Brahim Diaz
It’s about time to have our little no. 10 back. The attacking midfielder has been a revelation this season and has been sorely missed since he was ruled out of play with the coronavirus. He has been the lynchpin of the attack and his influence will be felt by the team if he manages to hit his stride early on. He needs to get the ball through Ibanez and Mancini to give Ibrahimovic shooting opportunities at Patricio.
Prediction: Roma 1 - 3 Milan
