AC Milan have announced on their website that attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz has tested negative for the coronavirus after taking a swab test at home The player was in attendance at the San Siro last night in the 1-0 win over Torino. The youngster has been sorely missed as Milan have struggled for fluidity and creativity in attack relying on luck in the matches against Hellas Verona, FC Porto, Bologna and Torino. The Spain international picked up the coronavirus toward the end of the international break as he was ruled out pretty late following his positive test.
Diaz has been the focal point of the attack since donning the no. 10 shirt as he has 4 goals and 2 assists in 9 games for the Rossoneri thus far but moreover adds a sense of direction for the team when they attack. We can expect the player to re-join training this week and potentially be on the bench for the match against AS Roma this weekend. It is possible that he starts if he is fit enough.
