AC Milan and Inter Milan are desperate to get the approval for the Nuovo Stadio Milano project and to get started with the massive development but have been held up by the bureaucracy for a while now. Talks are finally set to resume following the Municipal elections in Milan with a potential meeting in the coming week.
The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sal confirmed talks will resume as he said via MilanLive.it:
“I think I’ll meet the teams next week, we’re talking. As promised, we will restart with the dialogue.”
The councillor for Urban Planning in the Milan Area, Giancarlo Tancredi spoke to Corriere della Sera via MilanLive.it to say:
“At this time no decision has been taken. If and when it is taken, I expect a very high level project. At the moment there is only a study phase, no project. I like the idea anyway, it is particularly interesting the overall vision and the redevelopment of an area in which there are different realities.”
