A tough game for the Rossoneri but we were just too slow for them.

AC Milan travelled to Portugal to face FC Porto in their third group stage game of the UEFA Champions League following losses to Liverpool FC and Atlético Madrid in the other two. Milan looked lost in this match and put up a disappointing display given the resilience shown in the opening games. Milan were beaten 1-0 by a Porto side that was just too quick for us as we spent 90 minutes chasing the ball.

The run of play that led to the goal was unfortunate as there was a definite foul on Ismael Bennacer who was pushed in the back by Mehdi Taremi to set up the ball for Luis Diaz to smash past Ciprian Tatarusanu. Milan struggled to break into the game after that as the attack looked disjointed with no real attacking midfielder to link the play. Alexis Saelemaekers and Fikayo Tomori looked particularly beaten today as they were outplayed while Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer were the only bright spots.

Milen now have zero points from three games which likely means we are out of the running to make it to the knockouts but the team must believe that they can comeback.
