AC Milan can breathe a sigh of relief in the midfield as new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko returned to training this weekend following his injury on his debut. The loanee from Chelsea pulled out of his second debut for Milan after just six minutes with a calf issue in the win over Lazio and has been out for about a month. He took part in the group training session on Sunday ahead of the Champions League tie with FC Porto on Tuesday. The Frenchman is expected to be included in the squad for the game.
The midfielder will be a part of the rotation alongside Kessie, Tonali and Bennacer in Stefano Pioli’s 2 man defensive midfield.
He joins Olivier Giroud, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rade Krunic, Davide Calabria and Daniel Maldini who have bounced bac from injuries following the international break.
Milan are still missing Ante Rebic, Brahim Diaz, Theo Hernandez, Alessandro Florenzi, Mike Maignan, Junior Messias and Alessandro Plizzari at the moment.
