AC Milan face Hellas Verona at the San Siro tonight as Serie A returns following the international break. Milan are stuck in a vicious injury cycle as Stefano Pioli will be missing a number of starters to injuries or illnesses but most significantly Mike Maignan who has been ruled out for the rest of 2021. Milan will be relying on their depth options in this one as Ciprian Tatarusanu, Fode Ballo-Toure and Daniel Maldini are expected to get rare starts. There is a possibility for Pioli to deploy Bennacer, Tonali and Kessie together if Maldini is left on the bench.
Olivier Giroud will reportedly start ahead of Rafael Leao as the winger returned late from the international break and could use a bit of rest but he will likely come off the bench.
This will indeed be a very strange line up with some core attacking outlets missing including Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz.
Expected Line Up (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu, Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Ballo-Toure, Bennacer, Kessie, Saelemaekers, Maldini, Rebic, Giroud.
