Official: AC Milan Left Back Tests Positive For COVID-19 Following International Duty with France

The defender is an important attacking outlet for the side and would’ve been a game changer for the must win fixture with Porto in the UCL.

AC Milan have officially announced on their website that left back Theo Hernandez has tested positive for the coronavirus whilst returning from international duty. A swab test was carried out at home hence the player will no enter a quarantine. The relevant local health authorities have been informed and the player is doing well. The player is likely to miss at least the next three matches against Hellas Verona, FC Porto and Bologna.

The left back played for France over the international break in his second call up for the side this year. He made his first start in this break and was impressive being deployed as a left midfielder. The player scored the winning goal in the UEFA Nations League semi finals against Belgium and provided the assist for the winner in the final against Spain to lift the trophy. Hernandez now has his first international trophy and looks to be an intriguing part of Didier Deschamps side.
