MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan's veteran striker and top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to training after being out for an extended period of time. The striker has missed more games in Serie A than he has played in thus far. Despite this, he has managed to score 10 goals in the league and has provided 1 assist. The striker has trained with the group but will only return gradually as he previously aggravated an injury further when he tried to rush back into action after his original injury in the fixture against Napoli at the end of November.

The plan seems to be for Ibrahimovic to remain out for tonight's fixture against Torino in the league, he will be included in the squad to face Torino in the Coppa Italia in the coming mid week and then potentially return fully against Cagliari in the following week on the 18th.

*Update: Ibrahimovic has been included in the squad to face Torino tonight, this is a surprising development but it remains to be seen if he plays any part in the game today. *
