AC Milan travel to face Benevento as they look to kick off the year with a win to keep their top spot ahead of their game against reigning champions Juventus in three days. Players to Watch
Kamil Glik
Glik will be the player to watch as the experienced centre back will likely look to stifle the approaches of Rebic and Leao all game. The former Torino and Monaco man is strong in the air and is very good at forcing mistakes out of attackers. Milan’s attack will need to show maturity and creativity to beat him and get sufficient chances on goal.
Alessio Romagnoli
Romagnoli will be pivotal to Milan’s performance as a clean sheet is vital to a win. Benevento are good at scoring then sitting back. Romagnoli will need to be commanding especially if Kjaer starts in his first game back from injury. Lapadula and Caprari are strikers who score odd goals especially off mistakes hence Romagnoli will need to tidy up at the back.
Bryan Dabo
Dabo has hurt Milan in the past when he was at Fiorentina and can do the same tonight. Milan have always struggled in games against where midfielders impose on us such as Renato Sanches in the Lille loss. Dabo needs to be kept quiet and removed from the game by Kessie and Tonali or it could spell problems. The midfielder also has a wicked shot which needs to be watched.
