AC Milan via their Twitter page have announced the new signing of Japan international Yui Hasegawa for the women's team. Hasegawa is a versatile attacker who prefers to play on the left wing. The 24 year old has played for Nippon TV Beleza for the past eight years racking up over 100 appearances for the club where she has lifted 5 Division 1 titles and 5 Empress Cups. She is a winner who has demonstrated her ability at the highest levels and will be a huge boost to the Rossenere in their quest for Champions League qualification for the first time in the history of the club.
Hasegawa has been capped by her national team 42 times where she has scored 8 times. She was part of the national national that lifted the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup. She also played a major part in the 2019 Women's World Cup for Japan but only made it to the round of 16 where they lost 2-1 to eventual finalists the Netherland but Hasegawa managed to score the opener in that game.
