Gianluca di Marzio via MilanLive.it is reporting that Lazio have overtaken Parma in the race for Argentina international and AC Milan centre back Mateo Musacchio in the current transfer window as Simone Inzaghi looks to tighten his defense. Claudio Lotito and his management have made an accelerated push that has resulted in a definitive move for the out of favour defender who is not part of Stefano Pioli's plans in Milan.

Antonio Vitiello is reporting that Milan will receive some compensation from Lazio for the six months of Musacchio's contract ahead of it's expiry in the summer.
Vito Angele is reporting that opposite stating that there will be no compensation.
