AC Milan took on Atalanta at the San Siro this weekend and were beaten 3-0. In the midst of the game, one of Milan's top prospects of the season Pierre Kalulu picked up an injury and was stretchered off. The young French centre back started in place of captain Alessio Romagnoli who had a yellow card suspension for the game. Kalulu did well early on but was beaten by Romero for the first goal. In the second half, Kalulu was crashed into by Hans Hateboer and he pulled up with some pain to his hip. Minutes later, he and Kessie held up Ilicic conceding a penalty but he seemed to hurt himself even more in the process. The defender pulled up later and was replaced by Mateo Musacchio as he left the field on a stretcher.

Antonio Vitiello is reporting that Kalulu has suffered blunt trauma to his oblique abdominal muscle in the game. The same is being reported by Pietro Balzano Prota.

The injury is not a major one thus hopefully he can return to the group soon.
