AC Milan travelled to face Cagliari with a reduced squad as four players are out with the coronavirus but welcomed back Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexis Saelemaekers and new signing Soualiho Meité. Milan won a penalty early on and Kessie gave Ibrahimovic the opportunity to get back to scoring, the veteran striker calmly netted from the spot. Milan dominated the game as Davide Calabria hit the post for the second consecutive game. Early in the second half, Calabria fired an incredible lobbed through ball for Ibrahimovic to bring down and volley into the back of the net to make it 2-0. Later on, Saelemaekers made his return but was unfortunately sent off for two very silly tackles ruling him out again. Meité made his debut for Milan and put in a very strong performance imposing himself on the midfield. Milan picked up an important three points to remain in the top spot.
