Official: Two More Critical AC Milan Starters Test Positive For The Coronavirus

AC Milan via their website have announced two more positive coronavirus tests amongst the squad. The two starters Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu will now be ruled out for a number of crucial clashes including the Cagliari and Atalanta games in Serie A as well as the Derby della Madonnina in the Coppa Italia against Inter Milan on the 27th of January. These mark a growing number of cases for the Rossoneri following Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic testing positive about a week ago. Milan informed the health authorities but the two players remain asymptomatic and are already in isolation at their homes.

Sky Italia via MilanNews.it reported that Calhanoglu had missed multiple consecutive training sessions which could have tipped off his positive test. The trquartista will be sorely missed in the upcoming games but will allow Brahim Diaz to get some regular playing time as well as Diogo Dalot to get more minutes too.
