AC Milan Are Getting Close For Loan Deal For Chelsea Centre Back

Milan are looking to add another defender to the fold and Chelsea's out of favour youngster could be a good fit.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that AC Milan are accelerating for Chelsea centre back Fikayo Tomori as the deal for Strasbourg centre back Mohamed Simakan got complicated. Ricky Massara is reportedly a big fan of the defender and has followed him for years. The deal is a loan with an option to buy at about 30 million euros.

Gianluca di Marzio via is reporting that Milan have changed their direction for the defence to Tomori and will look to wrap up the deal quickly.

The Telegraph importantly note that the loan deal would be for 18 months ending in the summer of 2022 and then Milan would have the option to purchase the player permanently.

Nizaar Kinsella of Goal spoke to and stated that Chelsea are likelier to want a simple loan deal with any options as Tomori is considered to be a player for the future. The 23 year old centre back is liked by Frank Lampard but it struggling for playing time at the moment given the numerous centre back options available in London.
