Fabrizio Romano is reporting that AC Milan have contacted Chelsea over the possible signing of young centre back Fikayo Tomori as an alternative option following the complication in the deal for Strasbourg centre back Mohamed Simakan.
Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it is reporting that Milan have indeed identified Tomori as an alternative to Simakan and that the 23 year old England international could be acquired on a loan deal.
Sky Sports UK are reporting that Milan are interested but note that Tomori has turned down multiple loan offers in the summer hence this could be a difficult option to sell. The report goes on to note that at least two clubs are considering a move to Tomori where as at least four clubs are considering Simakan as an option which means Milan have a lot of competition for both their first and second options to reinforce their defence.
Milan seem focused on adding a centre back in this window, this is more pressing now as Leo Duarte has exited the club. Milan currently boast a line up of starters Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli, youngsters Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu and outcast Mateo Musacchio.
