AC Milan took on Torino in their first fixture in the 2021 Coppa Italia at the San Siro. Milan took to the pitch with a heavily rotated squad that welcomed back Mateo Musacchio after months out while Pierre Kalulu played as a right back for the first time. Milan played a strange fixture where nothing much happened all game. Calabria played in an attacking role and hit the post once and forced a save once. Dalot also hit the post of a rebound shot. Milan were unlucky not to get ahead but did not press as usual. The game ended 0-0 after 90 minutes and nothing changed after extra time. The penalty shoot out was calm from Milan's perspective as Kessie, Hernandez, Tonali, Romagnoli and Calhanoglu all scored with ease. Ciprian Tatarusanu put in a MOTM performance as he made crucial saves during the game and most importantly made the match winning save against Rincon in the penalty shoot out. Milan are through to the quarter finals where the Rossoneri will face either Fiorentina or Inter Milan on the 27th of January.
