AC Milan took on Torino at the San Siro following their first loss of the season against Juventus in the match prior. Milan welcomed back Sandro Tonali to the starting line up following his suspension and gave a start to Castillejo, Diaz and Hauge behind Leao. Milan controlled the tempo of the game well and won based off moments of magic. Brahim Diaz was the standout performer as he wiggled his way through the defence setting up Leao for the opener with with solid build up play and a composed finish from the striker. A little while later in the first half Diaz broke free and dribbled into the box but was brought down by Andrea Belotti giving Milan a penalty. Franck Kessie stepped up and calmly slotted past Sirigu sending him the wrong way. The second half was quiet but was marred by two injuries as Tonali was kicked in the back of the leg and Diaz pulled up with some discomfort. Importantly, Milan got back to winning ways and will remain top for this week.
