MilanNews.it are reporting that Chievo Verona vs AC Milan this weekend has been cancelled as the club have announced three positive coronavirus cases. Verona were already forced to cancel their game against Legnago but the encounter with Milan will also be missed out on. The game for this weekend was expected to be Milan’s fourth pre-season friendly ahead of their season opener against Shamrock Rovers on the 17th of September. Milan have already played Novara who they beat 4-2 and Monza who they beat 4-1. The club will face Vicenza later today.

AC Milan via Twitter have announced that the club will instead be hosting Brescia at Milanello on Saturday at 17:00 CEST (16:00 BST). This will be the fourth and final pre-season friendly to raise the fitness levels of the squad. New signing Sandro Tonali might get the opportunity to wear the Rossoneri shirt for the first time against his former club next week.
