Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan could decide to take a chance on Primavera youngster Lorenzo Colombo for the upcoming season. Peppe di Stefano is reporting that Milan have moved away from the idea of signing a back up striker and will put their confidence in the youngster thus assuming a lot of risk. Milan reportedly met with his agent to reiterate their desire to keep him at the San Siro this season.
Milan need a back up striker for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Ante Rebic will largely be in the starting eleven playing as a LAM whilst Rafael Leao will be expected to be the substitute coming off to occupy a variety of attacking positions likely as a LAM, CF or ST. The youngster scored a worldie in the friendly match against Monza that got the fans to recognise his talent after an unbelievable season with the Primavera where he scored 9 goals and provided 1 assist on the way to the title and securing promotion for the youth side. Colombo made his Serie A and Coppa Italia debuts for Milan toward the end of the season garnering two first team appearances.
