Calcio Mercato are reporting that the future of Fiorentina winger and wonder boy Federico Chiesa remains very much in the air as the club have shown a willingness to sell but an unwillingness to budge of the huge asking price. As per the report, AC Milan and AS Roma are two potential suitors at the top of the list but both are unlikely to spend anywhere near the asking price. As a result it seems a number of clubs have pulled their interest in the player whilst Milan are undecided but are likely out of the race.

Jounalist Stefano Cecchi via Radio Sportiva spoke on this stating:

“Commisso wants to make his mark, I’m confident about this, but I’m afraid the market will be financed by the sale of Chiesa. Whoever takes Federico will make a great signing.”

This might suggest that the sale of Chiesa is central to Fiorentina's transfer strategy for the summer hence there may be some wiggle room if Milan remain patient. From our perspective, this move seems entirely unlikely as Milan are committed to Samu Castillejo and Alexis Saelemaekers for the RAM spot whilst new loan signing Brahim Diaz can also occupy the position if needed. This points to the Chiesa move not making much sense.
