AC Milan Women faced Pink Bari yesterday afternoon and came away with a huge victory to extend their winning streak to three games this season. Milan Women won the game 3-1 taking all three points but they conceded their first goal of the season from a cheap free kick where they got caught out by a simple header at the back post.

Valentina Giacinti found some vindication and looked a more calm figure as she registered her first goal of the season with a cheeky header at the back post within the first five minutes of the game. Around the 25th minute, new signing Christy Grimshaw played a through ball to another new signing in Natasha Dowie who managed to slot past the keeper despite having two defenders on her back. Finally, Giacinti scored a second goal in the second half after just pipping the offside trap and finding Dowie’s pass to set up an one-on-one where she blasted home the third goal for the Rossonere.

You can watch the highlights of the game here or below.

The Rossonere face Juventus next on the 4th of October as they head into the international break now.
