AC Milan have announced via their website that Brahim Diaz has officially joined the club on a season long loan from Real Madrid yesterday. The young Spain international joined the Merengues last summer but struggled to break into the first team but registered 21 appearances largely off the bench. His loan deal is currently a dry loan that ends in June 2021.

The versatile attacker formerly played in the Premier league for Manchester City where he made 15 first team appearances. He has already won two league titles in his short career, one in England and one in Spain.

Diaz signed his contract and joined the rest of the team at training yesterday at Milanello. He has chosen to wear the no. 21 jersey formerly worn by Andrea Pirlo for the club.

Diaz can play in either of the spots in Milan’s attacking midfield as a CAM, RAM or LAM. He adds depth for Hakan Calhanoglu and Ante Rebic but will likely compete with Samu Castillejo for a starting spot.
