Antonio Vitiello is reporting that AC Milan's left winger Ante Rebic suffered a dislocation of his left elbow in the match against Crotone last night. The Croatia international tumbled over in a counter attack in the second half of the game and very clearly hurt his arm as he immediately turned to the bench and walked off the pitch in agony. The report notes that there is already some improvement made in the locker room but an investigation in hospital will provide a clearer picture.
Milan need to be wary as they have the Europa League play off round and the Inter Milan fixture coming up in the coming weeks and have now lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic leaving just Lorenzo Colombo and Rafael Leao as the only strikers in the squad.
Stefano Pioli speaking to Sky via MilanNews.it noted,
“I hope Rebic’s injury isn’t serious. There seems to be no fracture and this would decrease recovery times, I hope this news is confirmed (after more tests) and that he can resume as soon as possible also because the absence of Ibrahimovic and the late return of Leao and his forced entry leads us to have few choices in the forward department.”
