AC Milan via their website have announced that midfielder Tommaso Pobega will join newly promoted Spezia Calcio on a loan deal. The new Serie A side had been chasing the midfielder as they look to reinforce their squad for the upcoming campaign. The midfielder was thought to be able to carve out some space as a depth option in the squad but the addition of Sandro Tonali and the potential arrival of either Tiemoue Bakayoko, Andre Anguissa or any other midfielder would not allow him any playing time.

The deal is reported to be an loan deal with an option to buy. The deal will also have a buy back clause so Milan have the option to keep him if he thoroughly impresses this season playing in Serie A. The midfielder was a top player in Serie B last season with Pordenone who he helped to finish in one of the play-off spots. This was not good enough to secure a place in the Milan squad.
