SportMediaset via MilanNews.it are reporting that Fiorentina are blocking the sale of defender Nikola Milenkovic this summer. The midfielder was a top prospect to join AC Milan after extensive links over the past 4 or so months but Rocco Commisso has expressed a public desire to hold on to the Serbia international. Milan must now direct their search elsewhere for a centre back with Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic FC becoming the likeliest option followed by Matija Nastasic from Schalke 04, Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg or in a rare turn of events Wesly Fofana from St Etienne.
Milenkovic will not be for sale under any circumstances as per the report and he is already a fixture in the Fiorentina starting line up. Fali Ramadani who is the agent of the player is now trying to turn the attention to Nastasic who had been a Milan target a few years ago but has struggled with injuries since and not been in the limelight for a while.
