Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan are back in talks with Celtic FC or centre back Kristoffer Ajer after he dropped of the radar for a number of months. He was strongly linked to the club at the time when Ralf Rangnick's arrival was touted but these talks faded. Milan reportedly re-evaluated the player and will look to close a deal very quickly.

The reported value of the player is now 15 million euros which is a significant drop from the figures quoted in April and May but this works in the benefit of Milan as they look to secure a vital deal for a centre back in the final two-three weeks of the transfer window. Milan will reportedly evaluate what type of deal they wish to pursue to sign the defender. The options are a loan with a buyout option which turns into an obligation if the player makes a certain number of appearances.

Daniele Longo is reporting that Celtic are open to the transfer now and talks are expected to open and possibly close next week. He adds that Milan have scheduled a meeting with the agents of the player, SEG for the upcoming week.
