Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan have been offered the opportunity by Lyon to sign attacker Memphis Depay this summer. The Netherlands international seems set to leave France in the transfer window and has been strongy linked to Barcelona but a deal has not be concluded at the moment. The attacker could be included in the Lucas Paqueta deal as Juninho is a fan of the player.
Sport Mediaset via MilanLive.it are reporting that Lyon have a concrete interest in the Brazil internatinal who does not seem to be in Milan’s plans especially after being excluded from the squad in the Europa League for the season opener. The report notes that Depay could included in the negotiations and that he has previously been valued at 45 million euros but his current figure will be lower given his contract will expire next summer.
The deal seems unlikely as the player is already settled in Lyon and seemes to be a priority for Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou. Also, at Milan he would play as a LW or ST, two positions that are occupied by undoubted starters in Rebic and Ibrahimovic. Unless he switched to RW, he would not be a clear starter this season.
