Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are continuing to consider alternatives to Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko as they look to add one more player to their stacked midfield outfit for the upcoming campaign. Milan are reportedly returning for an old target from last summer in Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira who formerly played for Sampdoria under Marco Giampaolo. The Uruguay international has not settled in England is is reportedly open to a move back to Italy after just two seasons in the Premier League.
Giampaolo also wants the midfielder at Torino as he is quite attached to the player. Milan have reportedly initiated contacts where they want to understand the plans of the player before they take any concrete action. The move seems difficult as Torreira could be a starter in Turin whereas he would have to compete with three other top class midfielders in Milan. The report emerges a few weeks since the first links to the player emerged in the summer transfer window.
