AC Milan won their season opener and their second preliminary round knockout game in the UEFA Europa League against Shamrock Rovers last night. The game ended 2-0 to the Rossoneri who played away from home setting up their next game in the third qualifying round. Milan are now set to face Bodo/Glimt from Norway next week on Thursday the 24th of September at the San Siro. Milan must win the fixture to head into the play-off game.
Milan will play their first European game in over a year at San Siro next week Thursday. Milan will still be without Ante Rebic to suspension whilst Rafael Leao and Alessio Romagnoli could still be out due to quarantine and injury respectively. Milan have two more games to make it into the group stages of the competition with the games set for the 24th of September and the 1st of October. In the final play off game, Milan could potentially face Basel from Switzerland, Besiktas from Turkey or Viktoriz Plzen from Czech Republic.
