Pietro Mazzara for MilanNews.it is reporting that Paolo Maldini and Rick Massara are working hard for AC Milan to sell two midfielders and are looking to raise about 31 million euros. Luvas Paqueta is the name at the top of the list as he does not seem to be in Stefano Pioli's plans but needs a minimum of 23 million for Milan to let him go. The Brazil international who joined in January 2019 cost the club about 38 million euros from Flamengo. He has had a number of clubs interested including Fiorentina and Lyon but none have made an offer.
The second player who is expected to depart is Rade Krunic who joined last summer from Empoli for about 7-8 million euros. The midfielder has struggled to break into the starting line up and has been using sparingly as a last option of the bench. He has been approached by Freiburg for about 7-8 million euros.
Both players are unlikely to be used much this season hence the sales make sense. A capital gain is possible on the Krunic deal but a loss is all but certain on Paqueta.
