AC Milan via their website have officially announced the signing of veteran goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu from Olympique Lyonnais on a permanent deal. The Romania international has signed a contract until June 2023. He has chosen to wear the jersey no. 1. The goalkeeper has played extensively in Ligue 1 and Serie A with FC Nantes and Fiorentina respectively thus would be a good addition for the Coppa Italia and the Europa League. The 34 year old continues to start for his national team although featured only 6 times in the past 2 years with Lyon.
Lyon on their Twitter page have noted that the goalkeeper will join Milan permanently after being purchased for a fee of 500,000 euros. The goalkeeper joined the first team in training today and could make his debut later this evening against Brescia in a pre-season friendly match. The keeper will become the second goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma which likely points to Antonio Donnarumma leaving this summer or at the end of his contract next summer.
