AC Milan Reportedly Agree Deal To Sign Veteran Goalkeeper From Lyon As Donnarumma's Backup

The veteran goalkeeper has significant Serie A and Cup experience.

Vito Angele is reporting that Lyon goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu will join AC Milan as the back up goalkeeper for the season. The 34 year old goalkeeper is a Serie A and Ligue 1 veteran with 101 appearances for Fiorentina and 73 appearances in France for FC Nantes and Lyon. He spent his longest spell with FCSB in Romania wher he garnered 187 appearances.

Sky Italia via GFFN are reporting that Tatarusanu will sign a 3 year contract with the Rossoneri and Milan will pay Lyon 500,00 euros for the player. The report above from Vito notes that the move is a bosman deal.

Gianluca di Marzio reported that the goalkeeper arrived in Milan yesterday evening and is expected to undertake his medicals on Friday before finalising the move. He also confirms the three year contract.

Tatarusanu will occupy the role that has seen a number of veteran goalkeepers mentor and back up Gianluigi Donnarumma in recent years. The list includes Christian Abbiati, Diego Lopaz, Marco Storari, Pepe Reina and Asmir Begovic.
