AC Milan faced Vicenza Virtus in their third pre-season friendly of the season yesterday afternoon and came away with a staggering victory with the new additions to the squad leaving a big impression once again. Milan won 5-1 easing to a third win from three games albeit against opposition from Serie B and C. Samu Castillejo returned to the squad and announced himself with a brace banging in two goals early on in the second half once for Calhanoglu's through ball and once from Theo's cross into the box. Lorenzo Colombo scored for the second game running with an agile display controlling a hard cross from a corner with a heavy touch but reacting well to half volley it into the back of the net.

Milan conceded a silly goal in the second half where a wicked deflection sent Antonio Donnarumma the wrong way. Vicenza thereafter had some good attacks even rattling the post once but did not manage to score again. Brahim Diaz was brought on at half time and showed signs of his quick feet and superior dribbling ability bamboozling the defence. He managed a give-and-take with Paqueta to find space to break through and slot past the keeper for his first goal for the Rossoneri. At the final minute of the game, Maldini took a short corner to Diaz who whipped in a tasty cross which youngster Luca Stanga buried in the back of the net to make it five goals. New arrival Brahim Diaz picked up a goal and an assist within just 45 minutes.
