AC Milan have officially announced on their website the contract renewal of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic until June 2021.

He scored 22 goals in all competitions in his first season as Milan lifted the Scudetto for the 18th time. When he returned to the club in January, the no. 11 was occupied by Fabio Borini for just a few days before the Italian departed the club but Ibrahimovic settled on the no. 21 shirt. He managed to score 11 goals in all competitions in just six months for the club. He will now return to his original number avoiding the cursed ‘no. 9’ that has haunted the likes of Silva, Higuain. Torres, Matri, Piatek and Adriano since Filippo Inzaghi left the club.
