MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are continuing to closely monitor Empoli midfielder Samuele Ricci. The 19 year old has stood out in Serie B this season where he has racked up 30 appearances in all competitions helping his side make the play-offs. The report notes that Milan have had talks laying some groundwork for Ricci but these were postponed until after the play-offs which have now ended.

The talks are expected to reopen soon as Milan take on the summer transfer window to reinforce their squad. The midfielder is quite versatile hence could slot in as a playmaker, a mezzalla or possibly and wide midfielder. As we previously reported here, the midfielder is expected to be valued at 11-12 million euros as Napoli bid in that region previously.
