Daniele Longo recorded agent Beppe Riso at Casa Milan yesterday to meet with the management of AC Milan over moves for the summer. The agent represents Daniel Maldini and Marco Brescianini on the current squad, he also represents Mattia Caldara who is on loan at Atalanta but most importantly he represents midfield target Matteo Pessina who has impressed at Hellas Verona this season.

Thomas Rolfi is reporting that Matteo Pessina is seen to be a depth player for Hakan Calhanoglu in Stefano Pioli's 4-2-3-1 system.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that the meeting was an opportunity for the club to reiterate their interest in the player and to outline his role in the project. Although no formal offers have been made, the groundwork is being conducted through the meeting. Pessina played for Milan Primavera but moved to Atalanta in 2017/18 as part of the deal for Andrea Conti. Pessina reportedly does not want to remain at Verona as he hopes to play for a big club.
