Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that Lazio are looking to Reina to support their return to the Champions League and he will be an excperienced addition as a back up. The reporter notes that the former Spain international will receive a two year contract this week.

Nicolo Schira provided more details on the financials reporting that Reina will earn 1.8 million euros per year at Lazio. This is a drop from the 3 million a year contract he had with Milan. Milan will save a whooping 6 million euros in gross wages by ending the contract for the experienced shot stopper a year early.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that his deal will be terminated through mutual consent with Milan thus he will join Lazio on a free transfer.

Pepe Reina joined Milan in the summer of 2018 on a bosman deal from Napoli at the end of his contract. The keeper featured 13 times over his two seasons with the club largely in the Europa League ties. He kept 3 clean sheets but was marginalised due to the dominance of youngster Gianluigi Donnarumma. He spent the past six months of this season on loan with Aston Villa whom he helped to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
