AC Milan Are Closing To Offloading Goalkeeper To Valencia

The keeper has barely featured since joining the club but eats up a huge wage.

Diario AS via are reporting that AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina is very close to securing away from the San Siro after his six month loan at Aston Villa in the Premier League. The 37 year old veteran is excess to requirements at Milan as Gianluigi Donnarumma has locked up the starting spot. The report notes that Valencia are close to an agreement with the goalkeeper on personal terms and Milan will likely allow him to leave through a mutual termination of his contract.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that Valencia have offered him a 2 year deal worth 2 million euros per year net. Milan would save 7 million euros in gross wages if he leaves this summer.

Daniele Longo is reporting that Valencia and Reina have a base agreement but must wait for the Spanish club to sell Jasper Cillesen before they move forward with the move.
