AC Milan via their website have announced the permanent departure of left back Ricardo Rodrigue to Torino after three season with the club. The Switzerland international was a starter in his first two seasons before losing his place to Theo Hernandez, he was loaned out to PSV Eindhoven in January but was unable to complete the season due to the coronavirus pandemic and hence was not redeemed by the club. He has signed a 4 year deal with Torino as he looks to secure his place in his national team for the Euros next year.
He joined for about 18 million euros in the summer of 2017. Calcio e Finanza are reporting that Milan will not register a loss in his sale for a reported 3 million euros as they amortized his value on the past seasons.
The player was a major reason for Milan's relative stability to climb into the Europa League spots after a number of years stuck mid-table as he succeeded at LB where numerous others failed. He registered 93 appearances for Milan scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists.
