Milan Lazio will be a game that either gives Lazio the forward momentum to push until the end for the Scudetto or give Milan the massive 3 points towards their Europa League finish.

Venue: Stadio Olimpico

League Form:

Milan: L, L, W, W, D

Lazio: W, W, L, W, W

Realistically only Lazio can push Juventus now for the Scudetto, Inter has fallen off the pace and sit a long way off the top 2 albeit with a game in hand. If Lazio is to go the distance, they will need to win every game they can from now until the end of the season, which is no easy task especially against the squad size and quality of Juventus. Every game is a battle now for Lazio, and with their key match against Juventus coming on the 21st of this month, they will want to do everything to make that match the one that closes the points gap to 1.

Milan since the restart, has done well, showing Juventus in the cup that they won’t be pushed over, even when one man down. Rebic has been scoring consistently and Ibrahimovic is on his way back to fitness. The 2–0 win against Roma was a very good result, which they will want to replicate going forward against the top 6 until the end of the season. 12 points are available from these games and will be exactly the games Milan will need to win to grab the last Europa League Spot.

Head to Head:

Milan D, D, W, L, L

Lazio D, D, L, W, W

There is a huge gap in the standings, and also what each team is fighting for, but, in football, anything can happen. Although It would be nice if someone other than Juve or Inter were to win the league this year.

Players to Watch

Rebic

At this current goal-scoring rate, Rebic will bring his scoring percentage in a Milan shirt to 1 goal every 2 games very soon, which is a fantastic stat considering he started poorly, has played all over the field and Milan has struggled. Rebic will no doubt be the driving hard-working force Milan needs to hurt a strong Lazio defence.

Luis Alberto

The Spanish Playmaker has been a real driving force for Lazio this season picking up as many goals as assists, especially when his team really needs it never better shown than his goal recently against Fiorentina in the 83rd minute. Kessie and Bennacer will need to keep him quiet all game.

Prediction: Lazio 1–1 AC Milan
