Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu asked his agents to see if AC Milan were interested in facilitating a return for the attacker. Deulofeu played on loan for the club from Everton between January and June 2017 where he managed to turn some heads with his flair and skill netting 4 goals in the league. Milan have constantly been interested in him in the years following but never took concrete steps to bring him back.
Watford Observer is loosely link him with Milan citing 'retained interest.’
His side Watford FC in the Premier League got relegated this season but Deulofeu has nonetheless had a swell two and a half seasons at the club scoring 17 goals in all competitions and playing an important role down the wing. Milan could use a reinforcement or a starter at the RAM position and Deulofeu is a promising candidate. Time will tell, if the club is willing to rekindle the affair.
The winger has missed a huge chunk of the 2019/20 season after undergoing surgery due to a serious knee injury sustained against Liverpool in February where his side managed to win 3-0. The winger has not played a single game since and is still expected to be on the recovery phase for another couple of months.
