Gianluigi Donnarumma achieved a huge milestone in the fixture against Sassuolo as he picked up his 200th appearance for AC Milan at the tender age of 22. The youngster broke into the first team under Sinisa Mihajlovic in the 2015/16 season. He has been Milan’s undisputed starter since and has even become Italy’s no. 1 taking over from Buffon. He has picked up 72 clean sheets averaging over 14 per season.

The youngster made his debut against Sassuolo and now marked his 200th game against them. Milan won both games 2-1, oddly. The young shot stopper also managed to wear the Captain’s armband for the game after Alessio Romagnoli went off injured in the first half. Donnarumma’s is the club’s vice captain at the moment but this was another major indication of his leadership for the side.
