Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan met with an intermediary for Lokomotiv Moscow where they discussed the sale of Diego Laxalt and the purchase of Aleksey Miranchuk. The Rossoneri want to separate the two transactions thus a swap deal or player plus cash deal seems to be off the table. New discussions are expected in about 10 days.
Daniele Longo on Twitter is also reporting that Milan are big fans of Miranchuk who fits the profile of players that the club wants to buy.
Marco Ramiccia is reporting that the negotiations will be postponed until the coach for next season is determined.
As we previously reported here, Miranchuk is available at a cut rate as he is not looking to renew his deal with the club. The 24 year old is being considered as a creative reinforcement for the midfield as he has 16 goals and 5 assists in all competitions this season.
