Calcio Mercato are reporting that Lokomotiv Moscow sent an intermediary to negotiate a deal for left back Diego Laxalt from AC Milan this past week. The Uruguay international was out on loan at Torino but was recalled in January after the departure of Rodriguez. The Russia side are keen on signing him and offered 7 million euros to Milan.

The club turned down the first offer as they value him at 10 million euros but a second meeting is expected as the deal is looked upon favourably by both parties. Laxalt's agent spoke to MilanNews.it and said:

“Yesterday we talked about it for the first time with Milan, we asked about the conditions of the club on the transfer of Laxalt, if the two clubs find an agreement, there is no problem for Laxalt to play in Russia. If there is positivity for the negotiation? I’m always optimistic.”
