AC Milan have confirmed via their website that defender Simon Kjaer has been redeemed for 3.5 million euros from Sevilla. The player has signed a two year contract until June 2022.

Antonio Vitiello on Twitter yesterday reported that AC Milan have redeemed Simon Kjaer for 3.5 million euros from Sevilla after his six month loan.

Daniele Longo of Calcio Mercato also reported that the centre back will sign a two year contract until the summer of 2022. He has played 13 appearance in all competitions for Milan since joining in January.

Nicolo Schira on Twitter wrote that Milan will use their option to redeem centre back this summer. The 3.5 million buy out clause was valid until the 15th of July and Milan have decided to keep the Denmark international. He is reporting that the deal will be completed today.

Gianluca di Marzio stated that the deal is done and only the official announcement is missing which has arrived today. The centre back has been a solid partner for Alessio Romagnoli and will play a role at the club next season.
