Head to Head
3 wins. 1 draw.
Parma 0 - 1 Milan
Parma 1 - 1 Milan
Milan 2 - 1 Parma
Milan 3 - 1 Parma (2015)
Last week Parma finished in style scoring 2 goals in the 93rd and 95th minutes against Bologna to rescue a draw, but their performance was far from good. In fact, this point was their first in 5 games taking 1/15 points. Milan has looked much better in recent games, and even though they held on against another in-form Napoli, the Parma game will be a good test to see if the squad can give the same performances against the smaller names in Serie A.
Match-Ups
Rebic vs B. Alves
Milan fans will remember Alves scoring a freekick not too long ago and hope to watch Rebic burn him up in the head to head battles. Alves is an old fashioned CB and will look to disrupt the play with fouls and strong clearances.
Bennacer vs Hernani
This is a game where Milan should have control of the midfield and need to push the game to Parma. Bennacer will hope to collect the ball and play it forward as much as possible, supplying Theo and the wide men in an attempt to open up space. He will need to really show off his forward ability in this game as I expect Parma to play tight and look to frustrate the team.
Gervinho vs Calabria / Conti
If Gervinho plays, I can see him testing our full-backs with extremely direct running and pace. Aside from this attacking threat, it’s very hard to pick out someone who would trouble the backline in Parmas squad, however, old Milan player Kucka would be another using his energy and determination to make it hard for Milan.
Serie A Standings
Milan 7th 50 Points
Parma 12th 40 Points
I believe that Milan should comfortably win this game, but it will take some time to break the deadlock. In the last 3 meetings, 1 goal has decided the game, and I believe it will be the same this time around
Prediction:
Milan 1 Parma 0
