Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has extended his contract with the club for another two months until August 30th to be able to complete the current season. The Italy international had a contract with the club until June 30th which has not received an offer for a long term renewal. He is expected to leave the club after six years this summer.
Milan asked Bonaventura to stay for further two months and end the season with the club. His contract originally ends on June 30, 2020 but due to coronavirus crisis it has been extended till August 30

The midfielder is being strongly chased by Torino and his former club Atalanta as he will be able to join on a bosman and brings a wealth of experience. Bonaventura was easily Milan's best performer over the past five years in the hardest of times and is thought of fondly by Milanisti for his contributions in that period. It is quite sad to note that he will probably play his last game in red and black behind closed doors with no fans.
