The AZ Alkmaar captain was linked to the Rossoneri in the past couple of months but news faded behind the story of Bakayoko and Szoboszlai. Milan’s Almstadt has reportedly been in contact with the player’s agent.

The 22 year old scored 16 goals in all competitions from central midfield and also provided 3 assists to lead from the front. He has impressed as he captained his side as they pushed Ajax for the title and were denied the opportunity to end the season by the coronavirus pandemic. Alkmaar were tied with Ajax on 56 points when the season ended. The player is valued between 15-20 million euros.
