MilanNews.it reported on Tuesday that AC Milan centre back Simon Kjaer had undergone an MRI test after picking up an injury in the 4-1 win over Lecce on Monday. The scan showed that there was no ligament damage to his right knee hence a long term injury is ruled out. Kjaer could be fit for the game against AS Roma this weekend. Kjaer training on a personal program today.

A report from MilanLive.it now indicates that Matteo Gabbia is likely to start against Roma this weekend as the medical staff of Milan do not want to risk Kjaer nor Duarte for fear of aggravating their injuries. Duarte has just returned from a major ankle injury that sidelined him for over seven months.
